Under the stone-ringed field in Lisnagoneeny, a hidden passage may still cut through the earth. The local story claims the ringfort contains more than its visible bank and mound, suggesting human hands shaped a darker route beneath the grass. That unknown depth turns an ordinary pastoral landscape into a place where memory and mystery meet.

Univallate ringfort KE009-064---- is situated immediately N of KE009-065---- in a large pastoral field. The view is excellent especially to the E, S and SW. The site consists of a circular area enclosed by a well-defined bank of earth and stone and an external fosse. The interior is at a higher level than the surrounding land, and contained within the NW sector is an oblong mound, 1.8m x 1.8m internally and .6m high. A lot of stones are displayed. Locally, there is a story of underground passages (KE009-064001-) in this ringfort. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
