Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

No visible remains of this possible Man-made underground passage remain in Lisheennacannina. In the 1840s, a large cavern with a twelve-foot stone lying flat over its entrance appeared inside a nearly defaced fort. That much is known. Whether people lived beneath the fort, hid there during storms, or simply dug through solid ground because curiosity is stronger than sense remains unknown.
