Lios Na Caolbhuí hides a narrow underground passage beneath pastoral soil near Brandon Bay. The structure measures under a metre in width and remains partially buried inside a circular defensive earthwork. Human hands shaped the rocks into a confined tunnel during an era when visibility mattered more than grandeur. Whether the passage served storage, refuge or ritual remains unknown because collapse and forgetting removed its final witness.

Circular cashel KE026-008----, enclosing 3 hut-sites and a Man-made underground passage, is situated on fairly level pastureland at the base of the Brandon mountain range, overlooking Brandon Bay to E. The Man-made underground passage is now inaccessible but section of the drystone-built passage can be seen on the N side of a depression caused by the collapse or removal of 1 or 2 roofing slabs. The passage is .9m wide and at least .6m high. It appears to run in the direction of the lintelled passage through the cashel wall but the relationship between the 2 is unclear.
