Lackagh Beg hides a claimed one-kilometre tunnel beneath a SW-facing slope, yet no entrance, mark or trace remains for anyone to find. The missing shape invites imagination more than proof, while the nearby castle and chapel remind us that human hands often build what memory later calls natural.

On a SW-facing slope in a house cluster. According to local tradition, 'a cave or tunnel' is said to run SW from this location for c. 1km before re-emerging in Caraunkeelwy td. No visible surface trace survives. The presence of a castle (GA070-088----) and the site of a 'R.C. Chapel' in the same area, raise the possibility that the 'cave' may not be a Man-made underground passage.
