What is recorded here
Knockroe ringfort in County Galway hid a man-made underground passage until people blocked it within the last twenty years. The passage no longer shows on the surface, but the sudden loss of a hidden route may have deprived the place of its oldest surprise. Whatever lived beneath the fort now sleeps under soil, waiting for someone to stop believing the ground is empty.
Within the interior of a ringfort (GA123-016----). According to local information, a Man-made underground passage was blocked up within the last twenty years. No visible surface trace survives.
