Knockglass hides a stone-lined chamber beneath its levelled ringfort, roofed by six lintels and stretching east to west. Hartnett found an opening into a second chamber blocked by rubble, proving the passage remained active enough to demand closure. The earth above gives no warning, but the bones of the structure still hold their shape in darkness.

In levelled ringfort (CO060-128001-). Hartnett (1939, 63) recorded opening to Man-made underground passage in centre of ringfort revealing stone-lined chamber (long axis E-W) roofed by six lintels. Opening midway in N wall leading to second chamber; inaccessible due to infill of rubble. No visible surface trace.
