Man-made underground passage in Knockeennalicka

Knockeennalicka held a man-made passage beneath its rath bank, now closed and hidden under a low mound of overgrowth. The opening once breached the NE quadrant, perhaps letting people crawl into darkness or emerge beside water. They filled it later, maybe to keep out rain, strangers or whatever lived below. The mound still marks the wound, waiting for someone brave enough to lift the soil and ask what the passage wanted them to know.
