Under the Killeens ringfort, huge stone blocks still hold up a chamber ceiling, waiting for someone brave enough to crawl inside. Caulfield opened the passage in 1850, hunting ogham stones that never appeared. He found only darkness and the weight of ancient hands. The chamber remains closed to most people, but its stones still remember the shape of every shadow that moved through them.

In ringfort (CO074-006---). Opened by Caulfield in 1850 in a search for ogham stones; none were found. Caulfield records a single stone-built chamber with 'the flags of the ceiling supported by huge blocks of stone'.
