No visible trace remains on the surface in County Cork, but Broker recorded two rooms underneath the levelled ringfort in 1937. The passage may have served as a shelter, a store or a hidden refuge for people who needed to disappear when danger approached. Whatever they kept or fled from, the earth swallowed the entrance and erased the path that led into the dark.

In levelled ringfort (CO029-066---). Broker (1937, 52) recorded 'two rooms underneath'. No visible surface trace.
