What is recorded here

Gibstown holds a man-made underground passage that local tradition still calls a cave. Whether people dug it for storage, escape or ritual remains unknown, but the chamber likely echoed with breath, footfalls and whispered warnings. Its darkness may have swallowed tools, coats or children for a time before memory resumed. The passage still belongs to human ambition, shaping earth into a room for fear or refuge.
