What is recorded here

No visible surface trace, yet a hidden passage may still cut through solid ground beneath Euglaune. Broker recorded the claim in 1937, preserving a connection between two forts separated by little more than a long breath. The absence of proof does not erase the shape of the story; it simply refuses to show its hands.
In ringfort (CO029-071---). Broker (1937, 52) recorded an 'underground passage' in this fort, said to connect it with another fort (CO029-072---) c. 170m to S. No visible surface trace. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork. Volume 4: North Cork' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 2000). In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research. Date of upload/revision: 14 January 2009

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
