Dunmarklun is an underground passage in a ringfort in County Cork. The story is that people dug beneath the fort to give the place depth, privacy and a route out of sight. The square depression still marks where that hidden chamber may have stood.

In ringfort (CO083-038----). Depressions around centre of interior enclosing roughly square area measuring 10m x 11m; may indicate position of Man-made underground passage.
