Man-made underground passage in Derrygarrane South

This earth-tunnelled Man-made underground passage, not marked on the OS maps, is located on a low hummock on the W side of a tributary of Derreendarragh river, which flows S from Lough Beg. It was filled in by a mechanical excavator in the early 1980s. It consisted of at least two narrow chambers linked by a creepway (local information). No visible surface trace survives.
