Cor An Dola hides a seventeen-metre drystone tunnel beneath its northern ringfort, still straight and intact except where collapse blocks one end. A three-metre breach pokes through the middle like a wound, inviting entry into darkness that smells of wet stone and forgotten breath. The squared-off wall at the far end refuses explanation, suggesting someone built this not for storage but for disappearance.

In N half of a ringfort (GA056-063----). A drystone-built Man-made underground passage, in good condition, consisting of a long straight passage (L 17.6m) running NE-SW. The SW end is blocked by collapse but NE end terminates in a squared-off end wall. Present access is via a 3m long breach about mid-way along the passage. An offset in NW wall, to N of the breach, suggests the presence of a creep. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Galway Vol. II - North Galway'.
