Man-made underground passage in Cnoc Na Habha

Small univallate rath KE053-003---- lies on a SE facing slope overlooking Dingle Harbour. A narrow opening in the outer face of the bank, directly E of the entrance, provides access to an L-shaped drystone-built Man-made underground passage KE053-003001-. The opening lies between 2 of the roofing slabs of a passage which runs northwards for 3.5m and then eastwards for 2.25m. The passage is .7m wide and up to 1.2m high and is roofed by 7 flat slabs. The easternmost roofing slab has collapsed inwards and this collapse may be marked on the surface by the southernmost of the 2 depressions. The above description is derived from J.
