Man-made underground passage in Cashel (clankee By.)

Two long, low mounds of earth and stone still lie at the heart of the Cashel rath, possibly marking a forgotten underground passage. They are not natural bumps but the remains of human hands shaping the ground for entry, exit, or ritual. The passage may have let people walk beneath the mound when storms raged above or when secrecy mattered more than light. Whatever it was built to do, the rath kept that purpose hidden long enough for the mounds to become ordinary and the entrance to disappear.
