What is recorded here

No visible trace remains on the surface of Carrowshanbally, yet local information claims an underground passage still hides inside the rath. The earth may have swallowed the entrance or the passage may have collapsed into darkness, but the claim persists because someone once knew the ground could open beneath a familiar field. That is the strange part: a hidden chamber does not need a grand facade to exist, and the rath may still be guarding its own secret.

According to local information, there is a Man-made underground passage in the interior of the rath (GA106-044----). No visible surface trace survives. Compiled by: Galway Archaeological Survey, UCG Date of upload: 15 September 2017
