On the E-facing slope of a natural mound, immediately outside Carrowntemple ecclesiastical enclosure (SL044-056006-) and c. 150m W of Carrowntemple graveyard. A blocked up Man-made underground passage was recorded here in 1994. Another Man-made underground passage (SL044-056003-) lies c. 130m to E. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Sligo' compiled by Ursula Egan, Elizabeth Byrne, Mary Sleeman with Sheila Ronan and Connie Murphy (Dublin Stationery Office, 2005).
