Man-made underground passage in Carrownlacka

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

Associated with a possible cashel (MA073-045001-). Four close-set flat slabs, set in a N−S row with long axes E-W, are exposed on the surface of a low, sod-covered linear rise (L 7.3m N-S; Wth 1.2m E-W; H 0.1-0.4m). A fifth slab barely protrudes from the N end of the rise. The slabs are the roof lintels of a Man-made underground passage passage. Compiled by: Jane O’Shaughnessy Date of upload: 22 June 2021
