Carrowbaun is a man-made underground passage hidden within the interior of a rath in County Galway, Ireland. Exposed limestone flagstones may be possible roof lintels or natural bedrock, leaving the true shape of the passage uncertain. The uncertainty itself is the point: a chamber may still exist beneath the rath, waiting for someone careful enough to listen before digging.
