Carrigoon hides a man-made underground passage inside its ringfort, waiting for boots and lanterns. Ploughing collapsed part of the chamber in the southwest quadrant, yet no trace remains above ground. The earth kept the shape of the hole while people walked past it, perhaps forgetting the depth beneath ordinary soil.

In ringfort (CO033-022---). According to local information, ground collapsed due to ploughing in SW quadrant of ringfort, possibly indicating collapsed Man-made underground passage chamber.
