Man-made underground passage in Carhoomeengar West — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No visible entrance or unusual feature is recorded at the above ground level. The earth itself holds the shape of a choice made long before written memory. People dug through solid ground because they believed what lay beyond was worth the effort. That belief is still buried inside the hill, waiting for someone strong enough to remember it.

In a rath (KE084-017----). A partially collapsed entrance (L 0.6m; Wth 1m; D 0.6m) at E, at the internal base of the bank of the rath, reveals an earth-cut Man-made underground passage with a rounded roof. The interior is inaccessible due to the collapse. A depression (Wth 1m; D 0.7m), extending 4m W of the entrance, appears to indicate the line of a passage. This is probably the Man-made underground passage, recorded in the 1940s as having a stone leading into a passage (SMCK).
