Man-made underground passage in Caherkeen

In an enclosure (CO114-067001-). The bank of the enclosure is being eroded at N by a river and traces of the rounded roof (Wth c. 1.3m) of an earth-cut chamber are visible 1m below ground level. The chamber is largely filled with clay but two small openings (H 0.25m), which extend underground to the S for c. 1.5m, are visible. Roughly 3m to the S, in the interior of the enclosure, a hole (diam. 0.2m) in the bottom of a depression is further evidence of a collapsed chamber.
