Man-made underground passage in Caherateige

In the NW quadrant of a cashel (GA113-034----). This drystone-built passage (L 8.4m), running E-W, is unroofed and partially filled with rubble for most of its length (6m). From the present access point, near the W end, a roofed section extends c. 2m to the W and runs under the cashel wall. At the E end a short section of drystone revetment extending off to the S suggests there may have been a second passage.
