Two shallow dents in the north-east soil of a Kerry rath still mark the throat of a buried passage. People dug through living rock, perhaps to hide goods, escape rain or reach another field without crossing eyes that did not welcome them. The ceiling collapsed long before written memory, but the earth kept the shape of human ambition.
Two depressions in the NE quadrant of a rath (KE066-032----) may indicate a collapsed Man-made underground passage.
