Davies recorded a rough passage walled with boulders and roofed with slabs on a steep Bracklagh summit during his 1945 survey, though no official map ever marked it. Local memory assigns it to Penal times, imagining clergy pressing through dark narrow stone while soldiers searched above. The passage has closed to people since that sighting, leaving only the Mass Rock nearby to preserve the shape of the danger.

Not marked on any OS ed. Davies (ITA Survey 1945) recorded a 'rather rough Man-made underground passage' at this location. He described it as being 'walled with boulders' and the roof constructed of rough slabs. The site is now inaccessible. Locally it is believed that the 'cave' was used as a hiding place for the Catholic clergy during Penal times. Situated on the summit of a steep hill in rough terrain. A Mass Rock lies c. 90m to SE.
