Man-made underground passage in Ballynahow More

Located in rocky terrain on the steep S slopes of Knocknadobar. A circular, corbelled hut with adjoining annexes to W and NW. A cross wall divides the hut and its N sector is modified for use as a sheepfold. A lintelled entrance at E is now blocked and the wall at S and W survives largely as a mound of collapse. D: 5.25m. H: 1.9m. A low lintelled passage joins the annex NW of the hut and was interpreted as a small Man-made underground passage by O'Connell (OPW, 1939). The annex has a internal diameter of 3.5m.
