No trace of the man-made underground passage in Ballylosky survives because a hospital extension buried it. It lay close to Kilbride Burial Ground, where the dead still rest above the forgotten route. The building swallowed the passage, not with malice but with the ordinary hunger of progress. What was hidden beneath bricks may have served the living, the dead, or both.
