Man-made underground passage in Ballydrum

Man-made underground passage

What is recorded here

In the interior of a rath (MA062-031----). Two large, horizontally-set stone slabs protrude from the S edge of an elevated area in the NW quadrant of the rath. Several smaller stones protrude from the sod immediately to NW of the slabs and c. 3m to NW is a surface depression. These features may be the remains of a Man-made underground passage. At the time of inspection in 1997, this area of the rath was partly obscured by field clearance debris and could not be closely examined.
