What is recorded here
The large, irregularly-shaped enclosure KE045-091---- at this location is probably relatively modern, and the enclosing walls do not differ significantly in construction or size from adjacent field walls.
There was reputedly a Man-made underground passage at the site (local information; An Seabhac 1939, 199).
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 617. In certain instances the entries have been revised and updated in the light of recent research.
