Man-made underground passage in Ballingarry

Possibly located on top of a NW-SE drumlin ridge. There is local information about the discovery of what might be a Man-made underground passage at Ballingarry made by the County Engineer in 1935 in the vicinity of ringfort (MO031-106----) and it may be connected with the fort, but the precise location of both features is not known. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Monaghan' (Dublin: Stationery Office, 1986).
