Man-made underground passage in Ardywanig — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

No one knows whether the passage still exists beneath Hogan's rath in Farranmanagh, County Kerry, because no visible remains survive. In the 1940s it was called the great Man-made underground passage in the enclosing rings, which suggests a deliberate route through or beneath a fortified place rather than a random hole. Maybe people still walk that hidden line when they cross the rath at night, carrying marbles, bread crumbs or small flames into darkness the way children do in games.

In a rath (KE047-067----). There are no visible remains of this Man-made underground passage. In the 1940s it was described as 'the great Man-made underground passage in the enclosing rings' of Hogan's rath in the Farranmanagh district (Minutes of the Co. Kerry Field Club 1948, vol. 2, 797).
