Man-made underground passage

Isolated Man-made underground passage described by Gillman (1896a, 155) consisting of two earth-cut chambers and a stone-built entrance passage. Passage (L 2.13m; Wth 0.83m; H 1.44m; long axis N-S) roofed with four lintels; three stone steps from surface at S end. Chambers oval-shaped, parallel to each other and at right angles to passage. Chamber 1: L 2.74m; Wth 1.82m; H 1.06m. Chamber 2: L 3.2m; Wth 1.82m; H 1.06m. Creepways from E side of passage to chamber 1 and between chamber 1 and 2.
