What is recorded here

No visible surface trace remains in the western half of a levelled ringfort, yet the buried passage still waits beneath debris from field fence clearance. The earth has swallowed the entrance, forcing anyone who wants to know the shape of the hole to dig through modern rubbish and forgotten soil. What was built under the fort may have hidden people, goods or fear, but the ground no longer gives that answer without being opened.
