Malin Beg is a fairy fort, an earthen ringfort standing near Kilcolumcille Church in County Donegal. Local tradition holds that the fort belongs to the fairies, not people, and that disturbing its banks brings misfortune. The earthworks remain visible beside the churchland, marking a boundary between human worship and older, unseen occupation.
