A house erected on a site purchased (1903) from John Nugent Humble (1854-1929) of Cloncoskraine (see 22903109) representing an integral component of the early twentieth-century domestic built heritage of County Waterford with the architectural value of the composition suggested by such attributes as the compact plan form; the diminishing in scale of the openings on each floor producing a graduated visual impression; and the gabled roofline. Having been well maintained, the elementary form and massing survive intact together with substantial quantities of the original fabric, both to the exterior and to the interior where contemporary joinery; restrained chimneypieces; and sleek plasterwork refinements, all highlight the modest artistic potential of a house making a pleasing visual statement overlooking Dungarvan Harbour. NOTE: Occupied (1911) by William John Plummer Kinchin (----), 'Retired Farmer' (NA 1911).
