Luskie Burn, 'castle'

Tower House (medieval)

What is recorded here

Luskie Burn, 'castle' is a medieval tower house hidden beside the burn in Dumfries and Galloway. Stone walls still stand where people once watched the water, kept fire, and faced the dark. The burn may have carried life, laughter, fear, or the smell of rain. A castle without a name on most maps still belongs to the place because its stones remember the shape of human days.
Scotland's National Record of the Historic Environment records Luskie Burn, 'castle' as Tower House (medieval). The official map says its point is accurate as follows: NGR given to the nearest 10m. The record does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
