Lorraine Pilkington

Lorraine Pilkington was born in Dublin on 18 April 1974, the year the city still carried the smell of wet stone and diesel, and she later became known for playing Katrina Finlay in Monarch of the Glen. She grew up in Malahide, one of four children, then trained at the Gaiety School of Acting and appeared in The Miracle at fifteen. Her life moved between Dublin and London, through voiceover work, film roles and television, until the Scottish village and its stubborn people gave her a shape the world could hold.
