Llech Ddu is a sea cliff located in Gwynedd, composed primarily of Silurian greywacke and slates. These rocks formed around 440–420 million years ago through the deposition and compression of sediment in deep marine environments, and the cliff is notable for its exposure of ancient Welsh Basin geology.
