What is recorded here

Lissyvurriheen is a fairy fort in County Clare, an earthen ringfort where the boundary between human law and old myth thins. Its name resists easy pronunciation, as if the place itself refuses to be owned or explained. People may have lived there before fear or wonder took the site back, leaving only a ridge of soil and a warning not to dig.
