What is recorded here

Lissyegan is a ruined ringfort in County Galway where a road and farm buildings strangled half the circle, leaving only an overgrown bank to mark the southern and western edge. The fairies may have fled the noise of wheels and hammers, abandoning their fort to human hands that now plant vegetables inside the ancient boundary. What remains is a living paradox: a sacred circle broken open, its centre occupied by the ordinary churn of life.

On a SE-facing slope in grassland. Poorly preserved circular rath (D 34m) defined by an overgrown bank from S through W to NNE. No visible surface trace survives elsewhere due the construction of farm buildings and a road which encircles the monument from SE to S. The interior is used as a vegetable garden.
