Lissaunaporty/Liosán an Phortaig: Marked as an oval and circular enclosure on the first and second editions of the OS maps, respectively, this site is levelled. However, faint traces of the bank survive and indicate that the site had an internal diameter of c. 30m. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J. Lissaunaporty is a likely early-medieval ringfort, indicated by its oval and later circular representation on early Ordnance Survey maps. The site is associated with local folklore surrounding fairy activity, as suggested by its Irish name *Liosán an Phortaig*, meaning "fairy enclosure by the port or gate."
