What is recorded here
Lissaniska - Hachured is a fairy fort in County Limerick, Ireland. It is a circular earthwork with a grassy centre, a banked edge and a narrow causeway cutting through the boundary. The clear shape and sudden entrance make it feel like a threshold rather than an ordinary field marker.
In level pasture. Circular area (diam. 52m) enclosed by earthen bank (int. H 1.2m) with an external fosse (D 1.4m; Wth 1.6m). Most of enclosing element is covered by dense overgrowth. Recently constructed causeway (Wth 3.4m) across fosse and gap in bank at ENE. Interior under grass except perimeter which is covered by dense overgrowth.
