What is recorded here

Lisnaroughan is a fairy fort on a north-facing Galway slope where human ambition bent before ancient claims. Its ring stretched forty-five metres through grass and memory, but the land took back most of the shape. What remains is a low rise, a subtle swelling in the ground that suggests the boundary still exists even when the wall has dissolved.

On a N-facing slope in undulating grassland. Marked on the 1947 revision of the OS 6-inch map as a partially levelled enclosure (c. 45m NW-SE) curving from SE through S to NW.
