What is recorded here

No stone or soil mark remains of Lisnagreeve, yet the low ridge still commands sweeping views north and south. The first survey mapped a clear circular enclosure, but the second retreated to “site of,” admitting the land had taken back its own shape. Perhaps the fort is not lost but breathing beneath the grass, waiting for someone stubborn enough to walk its invisible rim at dusk.

Lisnagreeve / Lios na gCraobh: There is no surface trace of this enclosure, which was located on top of a low ridge which affords fine views to N and S. It is marked as a circular enclosure on the first edition of the OS map, but is marked ‘site of’ on the second. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
