Lisheenard Fort is a subcircular rath forty-four metres across on a wooded rise within Ashford House demesne. Its bank and fosse still hold shape though paths have cut through at north, east and south. The missing outer bank from north to southeast suggests either decay or deliberate opening, as if the fort once admitted what it now conceals.

On a natural rise in a wooded area within the demesne of Ashford House. A very overgrown subcircular rath (N-S 44m) in fair condition. Defined by a bank, external fosse and outer bank, but no trace of the latter survives from N to SE. Cut by paths at N, ENE and S. Lisheenard Fort, Ceapach Chorcóige Thoir is a subcircular early-medieval ringfort, likely dating to between the 5th and 10th centuries AD, situated on a natural rise within a wooded demesne. Local tradition associates such sites with fairy lore, and although no specific folklore is recorded for this fort, its Gaelic name may reflect a historical or mythological association with a "fairy hill" or other supernatural significance.

The monument record does not grant public access. Check the route and ask the landowner before entering private land.
