On a rise in gently undulating scrub and grassland. Well-preserved subcircular rath (26.6m N-S; 21.6m E-W) defined by a bank and external fosse; the latter is visible from SE through S to N.

Lisheenafinoge, Carrowmore is a well-preserved subcircular ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, characterized by a bank and external fosse. Local tradition, common to many such sites in Ireland, may associate it with fairy lore or ancient habitation.
