What is recorded here

Lisheen is a ruined fairy fort in County Galway, Ireland. Its earth bank has mostly vanished, leaving only a faint circular shadow on level grass. A drain now cuts through the northern edge, and modern gaps split the southern and western sides. What remains is less a monument than a suggestion: a shallow dish in the land where something once stood against the sky.

On a slight rise in otherwise level grassland. Very poorly preserved almost circular rath (E-W 33m, N-S 32m) defined by a bank of earth and stone, no visible surface trace of which survives from NW through N to NE where a drain cuts the monument.
