Leacht in High Island is a rebuilt stone chamber beside the church entrance, where one to two courses of the south and west walls still stand. It belongs to the monastic enclosure on High Island in County Galway, a place where worship and memory continued through change. The surviving stones suggest people kept returning, shaping the chamber and keeping its purpose alive long after first building.

This leacht lies in the NW area of the monastic enclosure (GA021-026022-) on High Island, close to the NW entrance of the enclosure (GA021-026021-) around the church (GA021-026014-). One to two courses of the S and W sides survived (Scally 2014, 43). The leacht has been rebuilt. Compiled by: Olive Alcock Date of upload: 10 December 2015
