Cast-iron lamp standard, c. 1880, comprising of square-plan foliated plinth, with a foliated shaft having a group of fish to the base, and having a replacement lantern.

This late nineteenth-century cast-iron lamp standard makes a notable and positive addition to the streetscape. Artistic design and detail are apparent in the elaborate form contrasting with more plainly designed twentieth-century street furniture in the urban landscape.
